The Block of Mercy & Its Mission

The Catholic Church exists in order to evangelize, calling forth each baptized person to take part in the work of salvation. Our local Church, which is our Block of Mercy, cares for the challenges of our community and takes the opportunities for both human and spiritual growth in this local context. In communion with the whole Church, we do not isolate ourselves, but recognize the importance of walking together, to express at its best our vocation to unity. To accomplish this, we place love at the center of all of our pastoral activity. For, if we push love aside or become inflexible to the human needs and struggles of our community, we will run the risk of becoming a house of cards rather than a spiritual home for sojourners seeking the Lord.
