En la mañana de Pascua, María, Juan y Pedro entraron en la tumba vacía, y nosotros también debemos sentirnos felices por el hecho de que el Crucificado ha resucitado con Su cuerpo glorificado. Al igual que ellos, nosotros también entramos con cautela, pero salimos felices con la certeza de que este acontecimiento tan glorioso no se limitará a las páginas de la historia. Nuestra visión finita de la vida ahora debe ser reemplazada por una perspectiva eterna en la que las cosas de la vida ya no son un inconveniente sino una oportunidad para la santidad. Con esta visión, tengo esperanza, porque sé que mis mañanas abrazan dentro del amor del Padre. ¡Al entrar en la tumba vacía, comienzo a vivir en la eternidad! El cielo y la tierra se encuentran en nuestros corazones cuando confiamos en esas manos clavadas en la cruz para acunar amorosamente nuestro futuro.
Estimados miembros de nuestra Familia de la Catedral, en nombre de nuestros sacerdotes, diáconos, personal y voluntarios, les agradecemos los regalos de su fe, esperanza y amor, que nos ayudan a saborear el sabor del cielo aquí en la Tierra. ¡No hay mayor alegría en todo el mundo que "correr" juntos los domingos a la fiesta del cielo del banquete donde, cada semana, podemos comenzar a vivir en la eternidad y vernos a nosotros mismos de nuevo! ¡Se ha levantado de la tumba, Aleluya, Aleluya, Aleluya!
   

With Mary, John, and Peter, We Run to the Empty Tomb

On Easter morning, Mary, John, and Peter entered the empty tomb, and so must we, allowing ourselves to become overwhelmed by the fact that the Crucified One is risen with His glorified body. As did they, we, likewise, enter cautiously, but leave exultantly in the certainty that this most glorious event will not be confined to the pages of history. Pope Benedict said: “Easter does not simply signal a moment in history, but the beginning of a new condition: Jesus is risen not because His memory remains alive… but because He himself lives in us, and in Him we can already savor the joy of eternal life.” Mary, John, and Peter left the tomb seeing themselves differently, and so must we. Our finite vision of life must now be replaced by an eternal perspective in which the stuff of life is no longer an inconvenience but an opportunity for holiness. With this vision, I have hope, for I know that my tomorrows are embraced within the Father’s love. When entering the empty tomb, I begin to live in eternity! Heaven and earth meet in our hearts when we trust those hands nailed to the cross to cradle lovingly our futures. 
Dear members of our Cathedral Family, on behalf of our priests, deacons, staff, and volunteers, we thank you for the gifts of your faith, hope, and love, all of which help us to savor a taste of heaven here on Earth. There is no greater joy in all the world than to “run” alongside one another every Sunday to the banquet feast of heaven where, each week, we can begin to live in eternity and see ourselves ever anew! He has risen from the tomb, Alleluia, Alleluia, Alleluia!!!
