Emaus is a community of brothers and sisters who, after a personal encounter with the risen Lord Jesus Christ have decided to follow him, serve him in his Church, and be agents of change and transformation in the world. Emaus is a path of Christian life, which begins with the experience of a personal encounter with the resurrected Jesus, through the Emmaus Retreat.
Emaus aims to be an effective instrument within the framework of the new evangelization, to reach out to many brothers and sisters who are distant from Christ and the Church. In addition, to being “living stones” in the construction and edification of the Church, with a new awareness of announcing and acting according to the Gospel.
If you want to be part of Emmaus and do the retreat, contact us. All men and women over 21 years of age are invited to live this spiritual experience. Our Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is the first Cathedral in North America to host Emmaus. Our first men's retreat was in 2023 and the women's retreat in 2024. Be the next one to live the experience.
